TROOP 442 Training Page
Training - Report all training to Arthur Hsu for recording in Troop Master Database.  The following is a list of training available and recommended  training:

ASM Required Training:
  • YPT (Free Online) Youth Protection Training - A must for registered adults.  Visit https://myscouting.scouting.org for training on line and print out a training card when completed.  Training is valid for 2 yrs. 
  • This Is Scouting (replaces New Leader Essentials, Free Online)
  • SM & ASM Leader Specific Training (Troop funds 100%)
  • Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) (Troop funds 100%)

 Troop Required Training:
  • Safety Afloat & Safe Swim Defense (Troop funds 100%) - Required for Troop and Patrol aquatic activities.  Visit  https://myscouting.scouting.org  Valid for 2 years. 
  • CPR (Troop funds 100%)
  • Wilderness First Aide (Troop funds 100%)
  • Merit Badge Counselor (Free Online If not, Troop funds 100%)
  • Den Chief Training (Troop funds 100%)
Other Training:
  • NYLT (Troop funds 50% and travel not included)
  • Wood Badge (Troop funds 50% and travel not included)
  • Powderhorn (Troop funds 50% and travel not included)
  • Philmont provided training (Troop funds 50% and travel not included)
  • National Camp School (funded by BAC in exchange for a two year commitment to fill your position of Training for BAC ).
